Sweet Eli {4 Years Old}

This past weekend has been a whirlwind of activity, the most important being the celebration of our sweet Eli's 4th birthday!  What a precious addition he is to our family.  He brings us so much joy, love and energy!  He is such a lovey boy and his favorite things to do are give us hugs and kisses...all day long...such a sweetie!  He especially enjoys loving on his baby sister and takes any chance he can to plant a big kiss on her or give her a squeeze.  He and Johnathan are such good little buddies, and my heart is often full to the point of exploding when I see the bond of love between them.  Our lives just wouldn't be as full without our precious boy, and we are forever grateful to the Lord for sparing his precious life on his birth day 4 years ago!  Thank you Jesus for our sweet Eli.

We love you so much, sweet boy!

Keepin' Up with Sister

It's hard to believe that our little angel is almost 8 months old.  Time does fly.  I wanted to record (mostly for my own purposes) Sister's 6/7month stats before it's time to jot down what she's up to at 8/9 months.

When we took her to her 6 month check up (a month late, lol!) she was 15.5 pounds, almost 26 inches tall and according to her doc she has a lollipop head, haha!.....her head measured in the 90th percentile, but I think it looks much smaller than that, the boys' seemed so much bigger and they measured about the same.  Anyways, she's growing well and is a lovely, healthy little girl.

She enjoys feeding herself these days and especially likes bits of pancake, Gerber crunchies and puffs, bits of banana, strawberry and meat sticks.  She will occasionally still eat her spoon-fed veggies, but mostly likes to do things on her own.  Uh oh, independent already!  ;-)

Her favorite word to say is Da-da.....which she loves to repeat over and over.  It is so cute.....and you can imagine that her Daddy loves this!  She adores her big brothers and gives them the biggest smiles and laughs.

She is a delight to be around, and we all just love our Baby Sister!

This Boy

Today this boy turns 6.  And I think it's fair to say that life would not be what it is without him.  The day he was born will forever be etched into my heart, and each day is made sweeter because he is here.

Johnathan, in your six years I have watched you become a good big brother.....twice!  You are fiercely protective of your brother, and y'all are such good buddies.....

And I'm pretty sure you love your baby sister more than any brother has ever loved his sister.  You just adore her, it's so precious.....

You've become quite a learner, and I love seeing your mind work.  You love trying to figure things out and you hold yourself to a high standard...yes, even at your young age you love when you get all your schoolwork done with 100% accuracy.  I think you may have a little bit of your Daddy in you!  ;-)

You also have become such a big helper to me and you really like to cook!  Your favorite meal to make is grilled cheese!  You also enjoy helping me around the house...and even told me the other day that "dusting is fun!".....I'm going to remind you of this when you're older!  ;-)

And even though 6 seems SO big, you still want me to hold you, to snuggle with you before you go to sleep, and sometimes you even sneak into our bed at night....and because 6 seems SO big, and time seems to be flying TOO fast I let you stay.....

I love you, sweet Johnathan.  There will always be a special place in my heart that is reserved just for you.

Much love, Mommy

Popping in to Say Hello!

Just thought I'd pop in here since it's been like a MONTH since I last posted.  Yikes! Our life is non-stop with our three lil' munchkins, and I guess I need to be better about documenting it here...although if you follow me on Instagram you have a pretty good idea of what our life is like!  #itsabeautifulmess

Our days are kept busy with the boys' school, looking after Sister's needs and keeping the house relatively under control.  I am really enjoying this "simple" phase of life.  This time where everyone needs me and I can meet those needs fairly easy.  It really is a sweet life, and I enjoy my days with my babies.

We're looking forward to spring around here, and have enjoyed several nice days this week outside. The boys are already talking swimming and water guns and all the fun activities that spring/summer will bring.  And Sister, my she is getting so big...6 months already!  Wow!  She's the light of all of our lives.  The boys continue to adore her which makes my heart swell for so many reasons.

Anyways, that's it for now.  I'll have to hop back on later to update with some pictures.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & Happy Valentine's all in one.....yeah, I'm way behind in posting

From reading my blog you might think we are still back in December, waiting on Christmas.  But no, Christmas has come and gone, a new year is here and here we are, smack in the middle of February.  So yeah, maybe handling 3 littles has taken up a bit more of my time than before, and blogging isn't always at the top of my priorities...but I still want to document our sweet, crazy life, so here we go!

Christmas was AWESOME!  Lots of great time spent with our families...we traveled within the metroplex and hosted at our house as well.  It was great!

The New Year was rung in at my folks house.  Good times.  Happy 2014 Y'all!  :-)

And here we are, about to celebrate LOVE on Valentine's Day!  So yeah, that about sums up our "major events" for the past two months, haha!  We've been keeping busy at home with our school and family activities.  Johnathan is doing so well in Kindergarten and we're so excited about the progress he's making.  Eli continues to keep us on our toes with his vibrant energy.  And Ardena is our little ray of sunshine.

Here are some pics (okay, a lot of pics) that sum up the last couple o' months!  :-)  Enjoy!!!
