Reward for Good Behavior: {AKA a Bribe!}

Yesterday, late afternoon, the boys and I took a quick trip to the grocery store.  Typically at that time of day all of our nerves are shot from the full and rambunctious day we've already endured enjoyed.  So you can imagine my great delight when I saw one of those little coin operated horses outside of the store.  I was especially happy that Johnathan saw it too and asked to ride which I replied "If you behave in the store and obey everything mommy says then you can ride it when we are done!"

And you know what?  The boy was on his best behavior!  I like to think of this as a reward...not a bribe really...and oh was it sweet to watch my boys ride the horsey after being such good little dudes at the store!

Enjoy the little sweet moments that each day brings!

When You Have Boys You Buy {BUGS}!!!

When you have boys bugs are just a fact of life.  Little boys spot them the dirt (while digging in it!) our house-yuck (although Johnathan will happily grab them up for me now with a kleenex and dispose of them for me! Score!)...flying through the air (Eli will scream "bu-bu-bu" when he sees one)!  Bugs are just everywhere for sweet little searching eyes to see!

So, seeing that I have two little boys, two little bug-lovin' boys, I decided on a whim to buy some bugs the other day when I was at our local nursery.  They sell the good kind of bugs there, ladybugs!  Natural pest controllers!

We brought our thousand or so ladybugs home and waited until dusk to let them out.  We sprinkled them over our bushes and in our strawberry plants and anywhere and everywhere we wanted them to go.  The boys LOVED it, and I did too!

Here are my two little bug lovin' dudes!

Johnathan's {4th} Birthday!

This past Saturday we celebrated Johnathan's {4th} Birthday!  It's hard to believe that our little Monkey is already four years old!  He sure is a light in our lives, and we are immensely blessed to be able to love, nurture & help shape his precious little life.  We love our Johnathan!

We did a carnival themed party.  I made some simple games (with the help of Aaron) and they were a huge hit!  With boys all you really need to do to keep them happy is to give them something to throw, haha, so I took advantage of that when coming up with the games!  After Monkey and his buddies played the games we enjoyed a hotdog picnic dinner outside, and all in all Johnathan's 4th Birthday Party was a big success.  Johnathan loved it, and I enjoyed seeing his enthusiasm throughout the night!

Here are a few (a lot) of pics!

Thank you to everyone who helped to make Johnathan's 4th Birthday a special one!

Love y'all!
