Much Ado About Something!

There has been a lot of buzzing around the hive lately...we have been some busy, busy bees! There have been play-dates, going to see cousins play tennis, fun play time at home, mornings at church worshiping God, swimming lessons, outside playtime and the beginning of another school year! Here are some photos of the last week in the Aldape household! Enjoy!

Johnathan began private swimming lessons last Wednesday...the result was a 30 minute crying session of "hold you, Mama!"...but we stuck with it and he finished out his lesson! And, on his second lesson a couple of days later he did great, no crying! Plus he did everything his teacher taught him!
"Cheese, Mama!"
Enjoying a peach after swimming!
What a beautiful reflection!
I am positive that I have one of the cutest, if not THE cutest baby E-V-E-R!!!
My sweet boy...notice the little bald patch on the side of his head...he rubbed all his hair off there! I call him my little mangey boy! Haha!
Johnathan is really into building towers, or "castles" as he calls them.
Building a castle!
Whoops, it all falls down!
Another castle creation!
Putting on the finishing touch!
My big boy in his church outfit!
What a cutie!
I just love his smiles...
...especially when they're all-out grins like this!
Cuteness!!!
There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping baby...
...except for maybe a smiling sleeping baby! What a happy boy! He must be having sweet dreams!
Aaron "babywearing" with Johnathan...I will have to tell you all about my baby carrier soon!
Me and my silly boy on his first day back to school!

That's it for now, y'all! My boys are both napping peacefully, so I had better take advantage and get some more things done around here!!!

The {Perfect} Sunday & 3 Months Old!

Yesterday was a great day...aside from a little bedtime fiasco, the day went by without a hitch! We didn't do much, and in fact we sort of took the day "off" and just decided to stay home all day. Aaron's been working 6 days a week this whole month, and yesterday it caught up with him and he was able to sleep in a bit. I say that we stayed home, but I did have to run out to the store real quick, and right before I headed out I ran into the kitchen to grab my list and saw this...

...I promise, this picture was not staged. Doesn't it look lovely tho?! Haha! I love having a clean kitchen with a candle going, and when you mix that with the beginnings of a breakfast omelet that Aaron was in the middle of making it makes for a very pretty picture! What a cozy little kitchen!

Oh, and today is a very special day...it's Eli's 3 month birthday! Can you believe that our newest little guy is already three months old?! I thought that time was flying by when Johnathan was little...but time is going by at the speed of light now! It's crazy! I don't have any "stats" to give you as far as weight/height/etc. since he won't go to the doc for another month for a check-up...but you can see by his pictures that he's really growing! He is getting sweet little baby rolls, and is growing out of his clothes! He is fitting comfortably into size 3 months stuff right now, and his early arrival isn't holding him back...in fact, I am pretty sure that he's bigger than Johnathan was at the same age. He is smiling a ton now, and cooing those sweet little baby coos, and he also likes laying under his toys and hitting at them. It's so fun to watch him growing and learning.

Here are some pics from this past weekend of our little guy...and a few of big brother too!

Dada and sons.

Personally, I think that Eli is going to look more like Aaron than Johnathan does...although both boys do favor their daddy!

Another sweet boy with big brown peepers!

He loves looking around when you hold him like this...and he just looks so cute while he does it!

Look at that sweet face!

I love kissing my precious boy!

Eli still really loves his swing, and takes his morning nap here most days.

Now tell me that's one of the sweetest faces you've ever seen! ;)

Little angel!

I love this little boy so much!

Hanging out with big brother!

Johnathan totally loves Eli, it is so precious! He is a wonderful big brother!

Starting to get some cottage cheese thighs! Haha!

Happy 3 month birthday, precious boy!!!

Have a great Monday, y'all!!!

The Many Faces of Johnathan...and our newest Chunky Monkey!

Lately Johnathan has really been into making silly faces. He does this one which we call his "cold face"...sadly, I haven't caught it on camera yet, but it is the cutest thing! Whenever he eats something cold/touches something cold he makes the cutest little face...and it is hilarious! And he loves for us to make silly faces back at him too now. It's pretty cute, and a fun phase that he's going through right now. Here is a little sampling of my silly little guy!

First look...confusion at what I was trying to get him to do...I wanted him to make his "cold face"...but he had other plans!

I don't know what this is...just a funny face he was trying out!

This is him thinking that he is pretty funny...when he really starts to laugh he does this sort of slow motion knee slap...it is hilarious...and I have found myself doing it too when I laugh, which I guess is where he got it from!

I was trying to make him laugh, and when that didn't work we had a staring contest...guess who won?! Monkey of course!

Trying to get him to make a silly face and he decides to give me attitude instead...typical! Haha!

Here he thought he heard Aaron come home and said "Dada, home!"...but it wasn't Aaron just some other noise he heard and so he got sad...sweet boy!

Getting angry because he wanted his Dada!

Full-blown frustration that Dada was at work when he wanted him back at home to play. He loves his daddy!

---------------------------------------------------------------

And here is our newest Chunky Monkey!!! He is really getting some rolls...yesterday I counted 3 "leg butts"...little chubby rolls on his legs that look like a booty crack on his legs...and he is plumping up more each day. I guess he's making up for his early entrance into the world!

He's got the double chin goin' on too!

Sweet face!

Looking like big brother!

He is enjoying his toys a lot more now, and likes to hit at them!

Big boy!

Eyeing the prize!

Look at that face!!!

Chubby-bubby!

Little Chunky Monkey!

Precious boy! One of the sweetest loves of my life!

Happy Thursday, y'all!!!
