It seems as if our little boy has developed an anxiety of strangers! For the past couple of weeks, whenever Johnathan sees someone new (in close proximity) , he cries hysterically and takes awhile to be consoled, poor thing! Just this past Friday we were at a wedding shower for one of the residents, and as soon as we walked in the door and people started looking at "the cute baby" he started to wail his head off. I took him outside to try to calm him down, but whenever we came in it started all over again. It took feeding him, putting him down for a nap, and then slowly introducing him to the new people for his little fears to subside, but they didn't completely go away all night. He likes little kids though, and doesn't seem to be bothered by them. There were a couple of children at the party, and he loved being around them, but as soon as a big person came up to look at him the water works started. I guess I need to get him out more often. Too much time with just mommy!

Poor little guy, I'm glad my niece's got over being around strangers now though.
How sweet!!! Be encouraged. I read something a few days ago by a Christian family development guru that said that if they aren't afraid, you should be worried. But, if they have a fear of strangers then that means they have bonded with you. Being afraid of strangers is a healthy fear that the Lord put within them.
Of course when they get a little older and old enough to speak, you have to make sure they aren't avoiding talking out of rudeness.
But, your sweet man seems to love him some mommy and daddy. That's great!
